Donald Edward Tysinger, age 74, of Old US Highway 64, Lexington passed away Saturday night, October 6, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Leonard Road Baptist Church, with Rev. Tommy Hepler and Rev. Sammy Allison officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Military graveside rites by Davidson County Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Wednesday and at other times at the Fellowship Hall of Leonard Road Baptist Church.

Donald was born in Davidson County, June 8, 1938 to James Wilbur Tysinger and Florence Thompson Tysinger. He was a retired employee of Alma Desk Company. He served his country in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sons; sisters, Viola Hartley, Frances Hepler, Betty Martin and Sandra Richardson; a brother Terry Tysinger.

Surviving are his loving wife, Emma Combs Tysinger of the home; loving daughter, Cindy Seawell of Winston Salem; loving son, Donald Ray Tysinger and wife Darla of Lexington; nine grandchildren, Amanda, Karen (Sissy), Angelina, Audrey, Andrew, Mandy, Brian, Russell and Jessica; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Martin, Brenda Noles and Diane Allison all of Lexington; brothers, Jerry, Larry and Steve Tysinger all of Lexington and James Tysinger of Trinity.
