Shirley Ann Tysinger Martin, 84, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at her home.
Mrs. Martin was born in Davidson County on March 23, 1937, to James Wilbur Tysinger and Florence Ann Thompson Tysinger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Lee Martin; and nine brothers and sisters.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Donna Jarvis of Archdale, Phyllis Davis (Charles) of Lexington, Wilma Ann Martin Hilliard (Ricky) of Lexington, Timmy Tysinger (Cathy) of Welcome, Roger Martin (Cindy), and Pam Martin all of Lexington; two brothers, Jimmy Tysinger (Vicky) of Trinity and Larry Tysinger (Harriett) of Welcome; a sister, Diane Allison (Sammy) of Welcome; twenty grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other extended family and friends that she loved dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Spruce Street Baptist Church with the Revs. Terry Coats and Sammy Allison officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm on Monday at Spruce Street Baptist Church. Memorials may be directed to Spruce Street Baptist Church at 407 Spruce St, Lexington, NC 27292, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
