Audrey Durham, 92, of Woodville, Texas, passed away, Friday, October 5, 2012, at Dogwood Trails Manor in Woodville.

A family graveside services will be Monday, October 8th at 10:00 a.m. in Campground Cemetery with a Memorial Service at 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church.

Audrey was born April 28, 1920, to Corrie Bama and David Webster Benton in Pennington, Texas.

She was a school teacher for 32 years and was an alumnus of Sam Houston State Teacher's College. She had been a member of the Woman's Reading Club since 1945 and was inducted into the Groveton Ex-Students Hall of Fame. Audrey taught the 12 year old Sunday School at First Baptist for many years. She was the backbone and the matriarchal support for her family and was her husband's biggest cheerleader and supporter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Milton Durham, her daughter, Yvette McManus, grandson Stephan Patrick McManus and seven brothers and sisters.

Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Woodville.
