She was born to Henry Milton and Audrey Alice Benton Durham in Fort Benning, Georgia.
She was a longtime resident of Tyler County and was a Woodvile Middle School English Teacher with the Woodville Independent School District. She was Miss Tyler County in 1971 and was a member of the Reading Club and Delta Kappa Gamma.
Preceded in death by her son, Patrick McManus in 2006, she was survived by her parents, Milton and Audrey Durham; sons, Todd McManus and wife, Brianne and Jordan McManus and girlfriend, Samantha Fruit; sister, Roschelle Springfield and husband, Dr. Jerry; nephew, Tyler Springfield and fiance, Kayla Vinson; niece, Heidi Springfield Marsala and husband, John; great niece, Aynsley Marsala and great nephew, Gray Marsala.
