Adda B. Ellis Wright, a native of Roseland, LA and a resident of Denham Springs, LA, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2012 at the age of 86. She was a graduate of Istrouma High School and Spencer Business College. Adda was a member of Broadmoor Presbyterian Church. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed dearly by all that knew her. She is survived by her son, Howard Wright III and wife Jennifer; two daughters, Anita Green and husband Mac, and Sallye Dawson and husband James; eight grandchildren, Michael Wright, Mark Wright, Morgan Wright, Margaret Wright, Rebecca Burton, Jessica Dawson, Heather Dawson and Sarah Dawson; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Cheney Ellis of Porter, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wright Jr.; her parents, George and Mildred Ellis; brother, George Ellis Jr.; sisters, Mildred Dykes, Claire Heil and Hazel Vernon; and two infant sisters. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 5pm until 9pm and resume on Monday from 12pm until funeral service at 2pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Michael Wright, Mark Wright, Morgan Wright, Tony Burton, Chad Burton, and Scott McInnis. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Mac Green and James Dawson. In lieu of flowers, the family ask a donation be made to Generations Hospice in Adda's honor.
