Ezra Christy Shelden passed away Dec. 1, 1954 in Douglas. He was the son of Reuben and Ruby Shelden. He grew to manhood and received his education in the Ringold County community where he started in the farming business. He followed this profession most of his entire life in the states of Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri. After becoming unable to do much farming in the late 1946's, he came to Wyoming in 1948. He leaves to mourn his passing five sons, Leland F. of Byers, Co., Wilbur P. of Fossil, Ore., Lloyd E. (Rusty) of Bell Fourche, S.D., Reuben C. and Roy of Vienna, Mo.; four brothers, Leonard and Burr of Douglas, Roy of La Crescenta, Calif. and Guy of Mt. Ayr, Iowa; three sisters, Elnora Dorff of Diagonal, Iowa, Anna Carse of Omaha, Neb. and Myra Smith of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Two sisters preceded him in death.
