Death of Miss Carrie Appel
The death of Miss Carrie Apel occured suddenly last night at 10 o'clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. Louise M. Bohlinger, in Louisville. The deceased was 74 years of age and was born in Madison. She lefthere many years ago and has since made her home with her sister in Louisville. Many friends in Madision will learn with regret of Miss Appel's death. Besides the sister several brothers survive.
The time of the funeral is not known.

Funeral of Miss Carrie Appel
The remains of Miss Carrie Appel, a former residence of Madison, who died in Louisville Tuesday night, arrived on the noon train accompanied by Miss Alice Bollinger and Mrs. Henry Bollinger, of Louisville, niece and nephew of the deceased, and Mr. Edward Appel, of Indianapolis, and Mr. William Appel, of Chicago, brothers of Miss Appel. A number of relatives and friends were at the depot to meet the funeral party. The funeral took place from the station and the interment was in Springdale cemetery, Rev. Arends, of the Lutheran church, conducting the religious services.
