Mrs. Clara J. Booth, aged 58 died Wednesday of the last week at a local hospital. She is survived by five children: Heloise, Kathryn, Kermit and Ernest Booth, of Thaxton,and Clarence Booth of Covington; two brothers, D.F. and L.M. Steffy and two sisters, Miss Lena Steffey and Mrs. J.L. Jones, all of Thaxton. Funeral services were conducted at the Thaxton Methodist church, Friday at 2 p.m., by the Rev. D. Utt, of the Luthern church, assisted by Rev. E.I. Lewis, pastor of the Methodist church. Interment was in the cemetery here.
