Peggy J. Auwarter passed away October 4, 2012 at Belton Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Private entombment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery Faith Mausoleum. Peggy was born March 1, 1930 near Springfield in Webster County, Missouri, and lived her adult life in Springfield, Raytown, Kansas City and Raymore. She was a graduate of Burge School of Nursing in Springfield, Missouri. Peggy worked as a surgical nurse for 35 years in Springfield, and Menorah and Baptist Medical Centers in Kansas City retiring in 1992. She met and married Merle Auwarter in 1974 and they led a very happy life for 33 years. After their retirement they lived several years as snowbirds in Mesa, Arizona. Merle preceded her in death in 2007. Also preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother. She is survived by son Doug Auwarter, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister Mrs. June Smith (Albert), two nieces and three nephews.
