Mrs. Rosalia Offenbecker, 88, of Estey, died Wednesday, May 31, at her home. Born in Austria-Hungary on December 15, 1889, she came to the United States with her husband Joseph in 1910 and settled in Monroe. They moved to Estey in 1921, where they operated a farm until retiring. Mr. and Mrs. Offenbecker celebarted their 70th wedding anniversary in November 1977.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph; 4 daughters, Mrs. Rosina Kanyo, Mrs. Magdalene Young and Mrs. Elizabeth Howard of Estey and Mrs. Eva Mesh of St. Johns; 2 sons, William of Estey and Paul of Beaverton; 42 grandchildren, 97 great grandchildren and 20 great great grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Marys Church in Pinconning. The Rev. Father Gerald Balwinski officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 6-7/1978 Column - 3 Page - 2.
