Frank V. Niemi, veteran co-operator and one of the founders of both the co-op store and also the C-A-P Oil Ass’n, died May 20 at the age of 54. He was a member of the board of directors of the store at the time of his death. Niemi was born in Finland and had lived for 3 ½ years in Kettle River. He is survived by a wife, daughter, brother, and two sisters. The funeral was conducted Wednesday by the Northland Co-op funeral home of Cloquet.
