Paul Offenbecker, 90, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012. He was born on May 21, 1922 in Gladwin, Michigan to Joseph & Rosella (Herman) Offenbecker. He married Mary E. Martin in Gladwin on October 11, 1943 and would have celebrated their 69th anniversary in 2012. Paul had lived in Gladwin County his whole life. He was employed at Dow Chemical in Bay City as a Fireman, retiring in 1977 and also assistant Fire Chief for Billings Township when it began. He was a member of Billings Missionary Church, and was a member of the Gladwin County Ice Carnival, as well as hosted the Country Music Jamboree for 22 years. He is survived by wife: Mary Offenbecker of Beaverton; sons: Walter (Shari) Offenbecker also of Beaverton; Paul (Linda) Offenbecker of South Carolina; daughter: Connie (Rick) Snell of Georgia; sisters: Maggie Young; Elizabeth Howard both of Rhodes, Michigan; 12 grandchildren; ? great grandchildren; ? great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents: grandson; Jeffery Offenbecker; 2 sisters: Eva Mesh and Rosina Kanyo; 2 brothers: William and Joseph Offenbecker. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Tyler Liegeb on Thursday October 4, 2012, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 1-9:00 P.M.. He will be laid to rest in Billings Twp. Cemetery, Beaverton, Michigan. www.hall-kokotovichfuneralhome.com
