Marshall Marvin Harshey, 88, of Avon, Indiana died on September 27, 2012. He was born in Monroe County, Indiana in 1923 to Chester Field and Tulie (Platt) Harshey.

He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II with distinction, flying 254 combat missions in China, India and Burma. He married Yvonne Spivey in 1946. He was a founding member and elder at Eagle Valley Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Yvonne, and family: Deborah Evans and Dennis Bell of Portland, Oregon; Frank and Billie Harshey of Avon; Curtis and Mary Harshey of Browns Summit, North Carolina; and four grandchildren.
