Isabella (McCall)Dixon was born July 1st, 1841 in Halton County, Ontario and passed away at the home of her youngest son Robert O Dixon at Interlochen Michigan July 23, 1914. She was married to Robert Dixon at Guelph July 16, 1859 and moved to the homestead in Grant Township now the home of Wm Dixon. To them were born eight children, William, Helena, Elizabeth, John, James Christina, Katherine and Robert, all living but Elizabeth. When still a young woman Mrs Dixon united with the United Bretheren Church. Mrs Dixon had been an invalid for fifteen years, nearly all of that time she had been unable to walk. For the past two years she had been with Robert O Dixon and his wife who have tenderly cared for her. The funeral was held at the Grant M. E. Church, Sunday July 26. Rev. Parmenter officiating. She was buried beside her husband who died 20 years ago.
