The marriage records of Nelson county ,Ky, say there is an apparent first marriage for Mariah Hagan, daughter of Randolph Hagan to James Cissell on October 3,1835. Her father was Randolph but he is listed in various county records as Randell. Pius Hagan her brother was listed as bondman.
Mariah/Maria Hagan died March 21, 1863 .
Her son ,John Pius Sims was away fighting in the civil war at the time of her death.
She is buried next to James A. sims in what is apparently a Hagan Family Plot in the St.Catherine Cemetery, New Haven.
