Debra was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother. She was a talented beautician and instructor. She was a blessing to anyone that knew her with her incredible strength, resiliency and love of laughter. Her greatest treasures in life were her five grandchildren. Debra was comforted by an incredible amount of love and support from her family and friends during her last months of life as she showed the world just how amazing she was.
She was preceded in death by her father, Therman Cecil Mapp Jr.; her mother, Willie Bell Mapp; and brother, Therman Cecil Mapp III.
She is survived by her two daughters and son-in-law, Rhonda Wood of Milburn, and Brian and Rickeal Preston of Dickson; four brothers, Dennis Mapp of Tulsa, Andy Mapp, Danny Mapp and Ricky Mapp of Tishomingo; two sisters, Bonnie Mapp of Ravia, and Connie Mapp of Mill Creek; three grandsons, Bryer, Brady and Birch Wood of Tishomingo; and two granddaughters, Kalee and Lexi Preston of Dickson; as well as, many additional family members and friends.
A memorial service for Debra will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 30 at First Baptist Church Fusion Sanctuary in Ardmore, Okla., where we will share God's grace, food and blessed memories.
