EDWARD KASNER of Coaldale beloved husband of the late Inez Williams Kasner passed away on July 29, 1998 at the age of 85. He was also predeceased by his parents, six brothers, three sisters and one grandson Chad Edward Harris. He was born to Reinhold and Alvina Nehring Kasner on August 29, 1912 in Portland Oregon U.S.A
In 1930 Ed's family immigrated to Alberta. He met and later married Inez Williams in January. His desire to farm led him to rent one and together they farmed and were able to purchase their own farm in 1946. There was never a shortage of home grown food and Ed took great pleasure in the delicious meals Inez cooked. He enjoyed watching his children and threshing crews savor those home cooked meals as well. Ed also loved spring and new baby animals that always arrived on the farm. He inherited his brother's dog Fluffy and they became great companions.
He was father to two sons and seven daughters. He was Grandpa to 22 grandchildren and Daddy to 15 great-grandchildren.
During his illness Ed never tired telling nurses and other staff, about his seven daughters and two sons. With every reminder of this fact he stated that he wouldn't know what to do without his family. I am a lucky man he often said to the staff.
Family and friends are invited to meet the family at Mount View Funeral Home on Friday July 31 1998 from to P.M Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 2216 21 A Avenue in Coaldale on Saturday August 1 1998 at P.M Interment will follow in the Coaldale Cemetery MOUNT VIEW FUNERAL HOME.
