Stilmon Preston was born c.1811, most likely in Oneida Co., NY, son of Stilmon C. and Sarah (née Richardson) Preston.

(3) Mary Case, 5 Feb 1863, Sauk Co., Wisconsin (died c.1866);

"Stillman Preston was born in Oneida County, New York, in 1811, and died April 28th, 1895, at his daughter-in-law's, Mrs. Wm. Preston, Constantine, Mich. At an early day he went to Baraboo, Wis., where he enlisted March 8, 1864, in the 1st Regiment Cavalry U.S. army. After the expiration of his term of service he located in Coldwater, thence moved to Constantine. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Blair. His daughter, Mrs. A.E. Aikenhead, formerly of Coldwater, cared for him in his last illness."
