He was a retired Exxon Corp. employee and a member of Electrical Workers Local 767.
Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, 11:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Thursday, and after 8 a.m. until religious service at 10:00 a.m. Friday.

Survived by his wife, Pearl Thibodeaux Chaney, Baton Rouge; a sister, Laura Mae Diamond, Baton Rouge; two brothers, Merlyn T. Chaney, Baton Rouge, and George W. Chaney Jr., Zachary.
Preceded in death by his father and mother, George and Lucy Chaney; a brother, Sheldon Chaney; and a sister, Thais Elliott.
