Thursday, June 10, 1982, Eagle-Gazette, Lancaster, OH, p. 9: William D. Postel, 86, Rt. 1 Tippecanoe, O., died Tuesday, 2:10 p.m., at Sunny Slope Nursing Home, Bowerston, O. A retired coal miner and member of Local 1496 UMW for many years, he is survived by his wife, Sarah (Ferrel); four sons, Damon, Lancaster, Ramon, Pataskala, Kenneth and Paul, both of Houston, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Margaret) Greer, Scio, O., and Mrs. Henry (Alice) McLaughlin, Freeport; one brother, Ray Postel, New Philadelphia; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson. He was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be Friday, 1 p.m., in the R. K. Lindley Funeral Home, Dennison, O.; the Rev. David J. Allen officiating; burial in Gnadenhutten Cemetery, O. Friends may call at the funeral home today, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
