Monday, 09 February 1976, The Daily Reporter, Dover, Ohio, page 6: Homer B. Postel. Homer B. Postel, 71, of 246 4th dr. SW, New Philadelphia, a retired employe of Puritan Laundry, died Saturday in his home following a long illness. Born at Barnhill, he was a son of the late Duff and Mary Corbett Postel. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren and the Moose Lodge in New Philadelphia. His first wife, Genevieve Luce Postel, died in 1953. In 1956, he married Clarabelle Strickland Vasbinder, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters and a son, Mrs. Richard (June) Irish of Cattaraugus, N.Y., Mrs. Arthur (Mary) Vought of Tappan Lake, and Howard Dale of Plainfield; a sister and two brothers, Mrs. Roy (Sadie) Lawver and Ray of Midvale, and William of Tippecanoe; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A brother and sister are deceased. Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home. Rev. Wayne Wheeler will officiate and interment will be in Evergreen Burial Park. Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the funeral home, where Moose services will be conducted tonight at 7:30.
