Ernest K. Bond Is Fatally Injured In Two Car Crash in a two-car collision on West Main St., Stroudsburg, at 9:50 p.m. Saturday. Bond,, of 2031 Miller St., was dead on arrival at East Stroudsburg General Hospital.

His wife, Helen, was hospitalized with face and body cuts and bruises. She was re- ported in good condition last night. Troopers Ed Beneski and Emil J. Weber said the driver of the other car was Glenn M, Werkheiser, 18, of 205 N. Ninth St., Stroudsburg.

He was treated at the hospital for face cuts and bruises, then released Saturday night.

.Bond was still alive when an ambulance arrived.

He was dead by the time he reached the hospital.

Bond was manager of Wyckoff- Sears parts department , and had been a Wyckoff-Sears employee for many years. Before that he was an employed as a mechanic at the Kresge and Tucker Chevrolet Agency at Ninth and Main Sts.

Born in Pittston, he was the son of Harry and Linnie Bond, of Appenzell.

He had been a Stroudsburg resident the past 29 years. H e was a member of Appenzell Lutheran Church; member and past master of Barger Lodge 325, F&AM; member and past high priest of Monroe Royal Arch Chapter 281, Stroudsburg; charter member of Stroud Township Fire Co. and an assistant chief.

Surviving in addition to his wife are: a daughter , Mrs. Benjamin B. Overholtz Stroudsburg; three brothers, Donald, of Allentown, Hoy, of Pocono Summit , and William of Appenzell; a granddaughter; nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts.
