Miss Anna Fowler, for many years a teacher in the New Albany public schools, died at her home, 811 East Oak street, following an illness of six months. Miss Fowler retired as teacher a few years ago on account of advancing age. She taught the fifth and sixth grades for many years at the Main street school, hundreds of children receiving instruction from her. She was one of the oldest teachers in the local school system.
