Funeral For Mrs. Anna Wardle To Be Held Friday
Mrs. Anna Wardle, 85, who was born in Illinois, Oct. 22, 1848, died Tuesday. In 1852 she crossed the plains with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Levins, settling in southern Oregon, later moving to Yamhill county, which had been her home practically all of her life. For the last 12 years her home had been at Carlton.
She is survived by her widower, R.M. Wardle, of Carlton; two daughters, Mrs. Addie King, Alameda, Cal., and Mrs. Ida Lindon, Portland; one son, C.E. DeLannay, Blaine, Wash.; one brother, Oath Levins, McMinnville, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the Ladd Funeral home Friday afternoon, 2 p.m., with Dr. W. Everett Henry officiating. Commitment will be in the Amity cemetery under the direction of Friendship Rebekah Lodge No. 12, I.O.O.F., of which she was a member for many years.
