She was born February 5, 1923 in Hopkins County, KY to the late Clearance and Cora Utley Adkins.
Rosie was a member of Silent Run Baptist Church and enjoyed being a homemaker.
She is survived by two sisters, Frances (Thomas) Traylor of Caldwell County, KY and Laura (Jr.) Howton of Hopkins County; and a brother, James Adkins of Hopkins Co., KY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 8, 2012, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Lamb and Bro. Rick Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Madisonville.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 7th and after noon Friday until the service time, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to Silent Run Baptist Church. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
