Almeda Byrd, 19-months old, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.H. Byrd, 412 East Sycamore, died at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the family home after an illness of five months. Services were set for 3 p.m. Thursday at the Waldo Chapel, with the Rev. Leslie O. Evans of the East Sherman Baptist church officiating. Burial was to be in West Hill cemetery.

The baby was born July 22, 1939, at Telephone, Fannin county. Surviving besides the parents are two brothers, Elwin and W.C. Byrd and a sister Isla Faye Byrd, all of Sherman and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Henning of Hugo, Oklahoma and Mrs. Etta Byrd of Hartshorne, Oklahoma.
