Jo Laverne Pryor passed into her Lord's hands on September 24, 2012 at the age of 86. She was born on November 6, 1925 in La Pryor, Texas.

Jo worked various bookkeeping jobs but is remembered primarily for her work for the Lord—where she got the chance to touch so many people.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, "Red" Charles B. and by her granddaughter, Lorie Mae.

Survivors include her brother, Andy Thornell, and her children, sons Larry Pryor and wife Marty, C.W. Pryor and wife Mary, daughter Dahnene Moravits and husband Don. Grandchildren, Cathy Dow and husband Richard, Jacob Pryor, Dayna Koenig and husband Ross, Travis Pryor, Sudie Pryor, Ryan Moravits and wife Valerie. Great-grandchildren Janet Dow, Micah Ramirez, Nevaeh and Brody Moravits along with numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks are extended to her care-giver, Donna Higgs, for her devotion and efforts over the past year. Also, to the Odyssey Hospice team and to the staff at Casa Rio Health Care Facility for their compassionate care.
