Alfreda Mae Oldham Brashears was born April 9, 1925 in Sikeston, MO. She passed July 14, 2012 at the age of 87 years. She lived in Sikeston all of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Brashears, Jr; her son, Milton Allen Brashears; 2 brothers, Cotton Oldham and Ernest Chester Oldham; a sister, Rozella Oldham Lovelace; and her parents, Alfred A. Oldham and Iva Elizabeth (Bessie) Thompson Oldham. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Brashears Higdon and her husband Malcolm Higdon. She has 3 grandchildren, Angela Henderson, Sheila Higdon and Cheryl Higdon; 3 great grandchildren, Annette Higdon, Carlin and Patrick Henderson; and one great-great granddaughter, Alayna Marie Ann Johnson. Her services are to be held at Nunnelle funeral Chapel on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 12:00 noon. Elijah Allen from Hospice will be the attending Minister. Viewing will take place the night before, on Wednesday, July 18, from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
