"Mrs. Hazel W. Carr, aged 66, of Cooperstown, RD 1, died Saturday, June 1 at the Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, following a brief illness. Mrs. Carr was born February 18, 1901, in Cherry Valley, the daughter of Charles and Ada (Dodge) Winslow. She was married to R. Stanley Carr on June 26, 1920. She was a former resident of Scotia. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Cooperstown; a member of the Cherry Valley Chapter, OES, and the Cherry Valley Rebekah Lodge. Surviving are her husband; a sister, Mrs. Robert Loucks, Sr., of Cherry Valley; two brothers, Alfred C. and Donald E. Winslow, both of Cherry Valley, and several nieces and nephews. Eastern Star services were conducted at 8 p. m. on Monday at funeral home ... Burial was in Springfield Center Cemetery."
