Ruth (Daymon) Barnett passed on to be with our heavenly Father Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at Rosiclare Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
Ruth was born Feb. 22, 1927, in Hardin County to the late Frank and Lena (Robinson) Ralph.

Ruth is survived by her son, Joe Daymon of Elizabethtown; husband, Herman Barney Barnett of Harrisburg; sister, Shirley Ralph of Harrisburg; and three brothers, Bob Ralph of Hobart, Ind., Glen Ralph of Gary, Ind., and Jerry Ralph of Springfield. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other loved ones and dear friends.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Arthur Daymon; brother, James Ralph; and sister, Reva Mae Parks.

Ruth was a member of Sloan Street General Baptist Church of Harrisburg.

Family visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at Aly Funeral Home in Golconda. Public visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. and will conclude at Empire Cemetery in Elizabethtown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Empire Cemetery.

For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 Corinthians 5:1
