She was born on January 1, 1938 to Rev. Frank and Lena (Robinson) Ralph in Hickstown, IL.
Shirley was a retired registered nurse. She had served as a democratic precinct committee women in Hardin County. She was a nature lover, hiker, gardener, rescued animals and enjoyed family time.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Elmer Ralph, Jr.; two sons, Charles Timothy Morsch of Baltimore, MD, Jeffrey Robert Reynolds of Topeka, KS; two daughters, Lena Morsch of Carbondale, IL, Gina Morsch of Carrier Mills, IL; two brothers, Bob Ralph of Portage, IN, Jerry Ralph of Springfield, IL; three grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews; one special cat, Milo.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers, Ruth Barnett, Reva Mae Parks, James Ralph, Earl Glen Ralph, and Bonnie Rose Ralph.
Celebration of life will be 1:00 pm on Saturday October 24, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, IL. Interment will follow at the Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service on Saturday at the church. Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville, IL is in charge of arrangements.
