Funeral services were held at the Foster Funeral Home in Natchez Tuesday afternoon with interment in the family plot at the Natchez City Cemetery. The Rev. John Lysle officiated at the services.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Jennie Green Blades; five sons Elijah, Alf, Hugh, Aulton and Allen Blades, all of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Mrs. D.C. Dwyer, Baton Rouge; on stepson; L.D. Parsons and one stepdaughter, Mrs. A. E. Austrum, both of Baton Rouge; a brother Brannon Blades; two sisters, Mrs. Sam Wilson of Natchez and Mrs. Rose Stevens of Atlanta,Ga; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
