He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Frances Fields of Statesboro; one daughter, Celeste (David) Fields-Lundy of Statesboro; two loving grandchildren, Dalphanie and Victoria Francine Lundy of Statesboro. He raised three boys, William Wyman of New York, Charles Fields III of Plainfield, N.J., and Bryan Scott of Plainfield, N.J.; two sisters, Katie Fields and Carrie Fields, both of Jersey City, N.J.; one brother, the Rev. John Henry Fields of Jersey City, N.J.; mother-in-law, Effie Littles of Statesboro; eight brothers-in-law, 10 sisters-in-law and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for the Rev. Arthur Fields will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2008, at Elm Street Church of God. Pastor Alexander Smith Jr., officiating. Burial: Eastside Cemetery. James R. Barnes Mortuary, Inc. is in charge of all arrangements.
