Mrs. Eva L. Skeen
Mrs. Eva L. Skeen, 71, of 509 E. Olive St., died at 1:40 am Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She had been ill about a year. She was taken to the Beck Memorial Home where funeral services are to be held at 10 am Monday. The Rev. H.T. Newell will conduct the services. Burial will be in Chenoa Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday afternoon at the memorial home. Mrs. Skeen was born July 27, 1886, at Nashville, a daughter of Henry and Sarah Mathis. She was married to George Skeen, who preceded her in death. Surviving are a brother, Joshua Mathis, Eagleville, MO., and four sisters, Mrs. Jennie Malcom, Decatur; Mrs. Nettie Payne, Madison, Wis.; Mrs. Iva DeVore, 404 S. Robinson St., and Mrs. Etta Longloy, a twin sister, Pontiac. Three brothers and four sisters also preceded her in death. She was a member of the Grace EUB Church.
