HARRY BEDMAN FUNERAL SERVICES HELD IN ALEXANDRIA
Funeral Services for Harry Bedman were held Saturday, Dec. 13, 1958 at 2 pm from the Anderson Funeral Home. Rev. Neal Pearson officiated.
Mr. Theodore Ording sang "Jesus Savior Pilot Me" and "Jesus Still Lead On" accompanied by Mrs. Harold Bradley.
The pallbearers were: Eugene Braunschweig, Elmer Berger, Gunny Linder, Clifford Floding, Leonard Floding, Lloyd Floding.
Interment was made in the Kinkead Cemetery in Alexandria.
Harry Bedman was born June 6, 1898 in Ida Township, Douglas County, Minnesota, the son of Charles J. C. Bedman and Christina Bedman. His parents operated "Bedman Beach" Resort on Lake Ida which has been owned by the Bedman family for almost 80 years.
On Sept. 24, 1923, he was united in marriage to Hilda Anderson. Besides operating his resort, Harry was known for his cabinet work and operated a cabinet shop in Alexandria for many years. He was also employed at the Alexandria Boat Works and during the last years he was employed in the woodworking plant of the Northern Aircraft in Alexandria.
He passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 9, 1958 at the age of 60 years, 6 months, and 3 days at the Our Lady of Mercy Hospital in Alexandria.
Surviving are his wife Hilda; and two children Harry Bedman Jr. of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, and (Lilas) Mrs. Virgil Gagnon of Alexandria, Minnesota. Also surviving are four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant children.
