Abraham was the son of Elias and Catherine Transue. When Catherine his wife died 09 Nov 1872, (Shawnee Presbyterian Church cemetery, Shawnee, Monroe Co., PA) he moved to be with his daughter, Sarah Ann Transue Evans.
