Aaron Buehler was the son of Sarah Hake and Andrew Buehler. His maternal grandparents were Elizabeth Hake and Christian Hake Jr. Aaron was Christened on 31 May 1852 in the First Moravian Church in York.

Aaron married Sarah Agnes Emig on 9 October 1873. Sarah was born in 1851 and died in 1930.

In 1900 Aaron and Sarah were living at North Codorous, York County. Sarah was the mother of 10 children and 8 were living. Aaron was a fireman for a water company. In 1920 Aaron and Sarah were living at North Codorous. Also living in the household were Joshua, his wife Goldie and Francis Buehler. Aaron was farming.
