Rosa T. Smart

Mrs. Rosa Torbet Smart passed away Thursday in the Minden Medical Center following an extended illness. She was 97.

Mrs. Smart was a member of the Brushwood Methodist Church and she had lived in Minden for the past 32 years.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Durbin and Rev. B.F. Jordan, J. officiating. Interment will follow in the Brushwood Cemetery under direction of Rose-Neath.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. C.C. Turner, Miss Florence Smart, and Mrs James L.R. Walker, all of Minden; Mrs. John A. Lowrey, Doyline; four sons, Frank Smart and Thomas Smart, both of Minden; Alma Smart, Dubberly; and Noah Smart, Henderson, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Cox, Homer and Mrs. Madie Short, Roberts, La.; 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
