Funeral services for Mrs. Eugenia Pauline "Polly" Walker, 82, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2007, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home with the Revs. Bill Crider and Bill Ichter officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m., today, June 29 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

Mrs. Walker was born in Dubberly on July 9, 1924, and died Wednesday, June 27 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.

She was an active member of First Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class. She also volunteered at Minden Medical Center for a number of years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, retired Lieutenant Commander James L.R. Walker; her parents; five sisters; and five brothers.

She is survived by one brother, Noah Smart of Henderson, Texas; sons, Gerald Walker and wife Eunice of Cleveland, Texas, and Mickey Walker and wife Patti of Minden; her grandchildren that she loved more than life itself, Brian Walker, Malia Walker, James Walker, Geralyn Walker, Erin Walker and Julie Walker; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael Ashley, Alton Kiser, Robert McPhilips, John Ray, Thomas Smart Jr., Keith Smart, Bobby Walker and Tommy Walker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Hembree and John Wayne Lowery.
