Rev. Burr Hix, 96, 4011 E. 300N, Marion, died Thursday at a Marion nursing home. Rev. Hix was born in Washington Township and had resided in the area most of his life.
He was a retired farmer and minister and was a member of the Hanfield United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three sons, Paul, Edwin and Ben, all of Marion; one daughter, Mrs. William (Opal) Taylor, Brownsville, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Saturday at Diggs Funeral Home, 504 W. Third St., Marion. Burial was made at Fairview Cemetery, in Washington Township, Grant Co., IN.
