Hilda Margheim, 90 of Scottsbluff went to be with her Lord on Friday March 4, 2011 at her home. Hilda was born February 26, 1921 to Alex and Mary (Hoff) Becker in Ault, Colo.
Hilda attended school at Lake Alice. Hilda and Louis Margheim, Jr. were united in marriage March 17, 1939 in Harrisburg. They farmed and raised their family in the Lyman, NE. area for over 70 years. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and was an excellent cook. Her focus was on her family.
Hilda was a member of the Immanuel Church of Christ and the ladies auxiliary as well as a local garden club.
She is survived by her husband Louis of Scottsbluff, NE.; children Loretta (Gary) Shiers of Scottsbluff, NE., Terry (Laura) Margheim of Lyman, NE. and Loren Margheim of San Diego, CA.; sisters Leah Heintz of Brighton, CO., Esther Margheim of Scottsbluff, NE. and Dolly (Wilford) Deines of Longmont, CO.; brother Gene (Betty) Becker of Scottsbluff, NE.; grandchildren Dan Shiers; Tina Anderson; Louis Shiers; Heather Sweley; Hidee Urbach and Anna Swenson and 14 great-grandchildren.
Her parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded Hilda in death.
Interment in the Mitchell Valley Cemetery, Mitchell, NE.
