Maria was the daughter of Nehemiah & Evaline Smith Bell. She married Daniel B. Miller, the son of Daniel & Eliza Buck Miller, on March 7, 1891 in Henry County, Indiana. The couple moved to Muncie, where Daniel and his brother, Franklin B. Miller, ran a feed & coal business.

Mr. and Mrs. Miller were the parents of Faye Bell Miller. Mariah was widowed, in 1907, and she inherited her late husband's interest in the business. She also supplemented her income by working as a seamstress.

LAST CHARTER MEMBER OF CHURCH SUCCUMBS.

Mrs. Maria Miller, 78, widow of Daniel B. Miller and formerly of Muncie, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fay [sic Faye] Zwick, in Indianapolis. She was the last surviving charter member of the First Christian Church here.

Surviving, besides the daughter, are four brothers, William C. and Aaron Bell, both of Muncie; Abraham Bell of Mooreland; and John W. Bell of New Castle, and two sisters, Mrs. Minerva Copeland of Muncie, and Mrs. Ruth Koons of New Castle.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
