Born April 27, 1906 in Prarietown she was the daughter of the late Charles and Rebecca (Bixen) Duelm.
She married the late Wilbert E. Bertels Oct. 14. 1928 in Prarietown. He died Nov. 3, 1985.
She was a homemaker and a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid group and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Margaret Bertels of Dorsey; one son and daughter-in-law, Lorman and Mary Ann Bertels of Dorsey; four grandchildren and their spouses, Lynn and Karen Bertels of Dorsey, Debra and Timothy Durbin of Bethalto, Paul and Susan Bertels of Holiday Shores and David and Donna Bertels of Dorsey; and eight
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Arthur Duelm; a sister, Emma Rust; and a son, Wilmar Bertels.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Jacoby-Wise Funeral Home in Bunker Hill. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Dorsey. The Rev. George Gude will officiate.
Burial will be in Emmaus Cemetery in Dorsey.
Memorials may be made to Emmaus Lutheran Church in Dorsey.
