A memorial graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Schulenburg City Cemetery in Schulenburg, Texas.
Gladys came to Clovis after moving from Alvin, Texas to live with her daughter and son-in-law Greg and Nancy Nash for two years before spending the last year and a half living comfortably at Wheatfield's. She attended the Ranchvale Baptist Church, but was of the Methodist faith. She was a very caring and devoted wife and mother to her family. She was a talented artist, enjoying painting, sculpture and her favorite, watercolor. She enjoyed sewing and made all her children's clothing as they were growing up. Her life revolved around her children, and her positive attitude and smiling face won her many friends.
She is survived by her two daughters: Marianne (Ron) Brunson of Plainview, Texas and Nancy Peirce (Gregory) Nash of Clovis; grandchildren: Will Peirce and his girlfriend Mikey of Rockport, Texas, Joe Peirce of Rockport, Texas, Blaine (Sonja) Brunson of Kyle, Texas, D'Lynn (Ty) Brow of Salado, Texas, and John (Katie) Brunson of Plainview, Texas; seven great-grandchildren: Cade Brunson, Cash Brunson and Carson Brunson, all of Kyle, Texas, Reece Brown and Mason Brown of Salado, Texas, and Saige and Kail Brunson, both of Plainview, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Carrol Philip Munz; her parents; one brother James Gebert; one sister Myrtle Isensee; brother-in-law George Isensee; and a nephew Robert Gebert.
