SCOTT CITY — Samuel G. Berry, 83, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Scott County Hospital in Scott City.
He was born Sept. 15, 1929, in Bell County, Texas, to Wilson W. and Bessie Lee Isbell Berry.

A resident of Scott City since 1946, Mr. Berry was a farmer and in the seed business. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

On Oct. 16, 1953, he married Martha E. Dean in Scott City. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Harold D. and Albert E. Berry, both of Scott City; three daughters, Patricia L. Snow of Pence, and Sondra M. Berry and Barbra E. Berry, both of Scott City; six brothers, Wilson "Bud," Wayde and Wayne Berry, all of Shawnee, Okla., Dranon "Roy" Berry of Scott City, Sherman "Red" Berry of Canton, Okla., and Gerrel Berry of Alva, Okla.; two sisters, Virginia King of Altus, Okla., and Emalee Twyford of Council Bluffs, Iowa; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter.

Graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Scott County Cemetery in Scott City.

Visitation hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Price & Sons Funeral Home, Scott City. Condolences may be given at www.priceandsons.com or [email protected]. Memorials to the Samuel G. Berry Memorial Fund may be sent in care of the funeral home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City, KS 67871.
