Helen L. (Mrs. Dick) Steinhaus, age 75 of Greenville, SC and formerly of Morristown, MN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at her home.
Helen was born March 4, 1937 in Morristown, MN to Melvin and Catherine (Dunn) Welch. She graduated from Morristown High School in 1955 and attended Northwestern Bible College from 1955-1956. Helen married Dick Steinhaus on June 20, 1959 at the First Baptist Church in Morristown. They enjoyed 53 years of marriage, and for the last 38 years, she served as a Pastor's Wife alongside her husband in ministries in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Greenville.
She is survived by her husband, Dick of Greenville; three children, Peter (and Sherry) Steinhaus of Winston Salem, NC, Jane (and Bryan) Doerstling of Lantana, TX and Sarah Steinhaus of Greenville; six grandchildren, Rachel (and Addison) Calley, Allison Steinhaus, Julia Doerstling, Olivia Doerstling, Reagan Doerstling, and Tessa Doerstling; three sisters, Margaret (and Bob) Lewis of Cannon City, MN, Diane Johnson of Brooklyn Center, MN and Ruth Ann Burke of Hebron, IN; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Catherine; two sisters, Alice and Marian Welch; and a brother, Richard Welch.
She was dearly loved by her husband, children, and grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
