Robert married (2) his first wife's sister Mary Charlotte "Lottie" White of Riverside County on May 16, 1943 at the Arlington home of Elder Coberly's niece, Mrs. Clara Lockridge with 25 relatives and close friends in attendance. Rev. Eric Hare performed the ceremony. He was one of the last missionaries to leave Rangoon before it fell and was assisted in getting out of Chungking by Zoral Coberly, son of Elder Coberly.
Lottie was born 14 Dec 1847 Nebraska.

Robert Coberly, Former Minister Dies Wednesday
Robert Benjamin Coberly who spent most of his adult life as a Seventh Day Adventist minister, retiring from active service in 1922, died at his home 71 Pennsylvania avenue, early Wednesday morning at the age of 70 years. Mr. Coberly was born in Missouri. He came to Santa Cruz from Lodi about four years ago. His health has been failing for two years, and although he was not well enough for strenuous activities, he supplied pulpits occasionally. His widow, Lottie Coberly is at the family home. Two daughters survive, Mrs. Ed Rose of Berkeley, and Miss Frieda Coberly of Loma Linda. Also two sons, Zoral of Shasta and Claude Coberly of Alameda and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock in White's mortuary chapel. Committal in the family plot in Oakwood cemetery.
