Edward was born to Hosea and Nina (Baldwin) Bedunah. He was followed by brothers - Franklin, Daniel, George Hosea and one sister, Clara Ann. July 19, 1914 he married Zula Farnsworth in Benton Harbor. She passed away in 1919 and later that year he married Blendina Piffer. In 1917 he registered for the draft, but did not serve in the military. At that time he worked for the St Joseph Rubber Company. Later he worked as a machinist.

He is buried in the Crystal Springs Cemetery.
