I do not have 100% prof that John Thomas is my G-G-G Grandfathers' father. Thomas is in the 1830 & 1840 Federal census in Pickens Co, Alabama. Linvill Gibbs is his younger brother. It appears that Thomas was born in South Carolina cir 1790. I beleive that Thomas died between 1840 and 1850. I number of illments came thru Vienna and mass graves were dug. The Gibbs family is living with the Prices' in the 1850 census, without a mother. Miranda Gibbs is most likely Thomas Gibbs wife. In the 1850 census she is head of houshold with the Burgess living with her. I do not understand why the Burgess children are living with her and the Gibbs are living with the Price.
