Grand Island Daily Independent Wednesday 17 Feb 1897
The funeral of Mrs. Johnson, who died yesterday morning and mention of which particularly sad case was made in these columns yesterday, occurred this afternoon at three o'clock, the child being buried at the same time. The latter had preceded the mother but 24 hours and not several days as was stated yesterday. Mr. Dean contributed the use of his horses and hearse and a respectable burial was given to the departed.
